Rabat Arrival → Imperial Fes
Your private driver will welcome you at the Rabat-Salé Airport (RBA) or your local hotel. We begin with a morning exploring the sophisticated capital: the monumental Hassan Tower, the exquisite Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the blue-and-white Kasbah of the Udayas overlooking the sea. Fes → Middle Atlas → Sahara Desert
We depart early for a spectacular transition of landscapes. Ascend into the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane and the ancient Cedar Forests to observe wild Barbary macaque monkeys. The scenery shifts dramatically as we descend into the massive, palm-filled Ziz Valley. Arriving at the edge of the Sahara in Merzouga, you will trade your vehicle for a camel caravan. Today’s drive features Morocco's most cinematic landscapes. We pass through Ouarzazate, the "Hollywood of Africa," before arriving at the spectacular Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a 16th-century fortified clay city featured in *Gladiator* and *Game of Thrones*. After exploring its ancient alleys, we ascend the winding, panoramic Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260m) over the High Atlas Mountains. We drop down into Marrakech in the late afternoon.
