It also breaks up the driving on the final leg, allowing you to spend a night in the cinematic city of Ouarzazate before casually crossing the High Atlas Mountains into Marrakech. Your Journey
Fes → Ifrane → Ziz Valley → Merzouga
Your private driver will meet you in Fes for a morning departure. We climb into the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in the alpine town of Ifrane and the ancient Cedar Forests of Azrou to observe the wild Barbary macaque monkeys. We descend through the stunning, palm-filled Ziz Valley, arriving at the edge of the Sahara in the late afternoon. You will check into a beautiful luxury desert lodge to relax, swim, and enjoy dinner with views of the dunes.

Sahara Immersion: 4x4 Exploration & Luxury Camp
Today is entirely focused on the magic of the desert. We take a 4x4 off-road to visit authentic Nomad families living in traditional tents, learning about their ancient way of life. We will also visit the village of Khamlia to experience spiritual Gnawa music. In the late afternoon, your private camel caravan awaits. Ride across the towering golden dunes of Erg Chebbi into the sunset, arriving at your exclusive luxury camp for a traditional feast, campfire music, and a night under the stars.

Merzouga → Todra Gorges → Ouarzazate
Wake up early to catch a breathtaking Saharan sunrise. After a hot breakfast, we travel west into the dramatic Tinghir province. We will walk through the towering 300-meter-high limestone walls of the Todra Gorges. Continuing along the "Route of a Thousand Kasbahs," we drive through the fragrant Valley of the Roses and the Skoura palm groves before arriving in Ouarzazate, the "Hollywood of Africa," to check into your luxury riad for the evening.

Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → High Atlas → Marrakech
After breakfast, we take a short drive to the legendary Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a stunning 16th-century fortified clay city and UNESCO World Heritage site featured in *Gladiator* and *Lawrence of Arabia*. After exploring the ancient alleys, we begin our spectacular, winding ascent over the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass. We will drop you off safely at your Marrakech accommodation in the late afternoon, concluding your grand traverse.
