Your Journey
Tangier Arrival → The Rif Mountains → Fes
Your private driver will pick you up at the Tangier ferry port or airport. We immediately hit the road, driving south through the beautiful, rolling green hills of the Rif Mountains. Depending on your arrival time, we can make a brief stop for coffee to stretch our legs before continuing onto the express toll highway to Fes. Upon arrival in the late afternoon, you will check into your luxury riad and have the evening free to get your first taste of the labyrinthine Fes medina.

Fes → Middle Atlas → Sahara Desert (The Long Haul)
Today is our biggest travel day. We depart Fes early, climbing into the alpine air of the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will stop briefly in the Cedar Forests to spot the wild Barbary macaque monkeys. The drive is long but spectacular as we descend into the massive palm groves of the Ziz Valley. We arrive at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes in the late afternoon. You will leave the vehicle behind and ride a camel into the sunset, arriving at your exclusive luxury camp for a traditional dinner and campfire music under the stars.

Merzouga → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley
Wake up early to catch a breathtaking sunrise over the sand dunes. After breakfast, we depart the desert and head west toward the rugged High Atlas foothills. We will stop to hike through the sheer, 300-meter-high limestone cliffs of the Todra Gorges. Continuing along the "Route of a Thousand Kasbahs," we enter the lush, beautiful Dades Valley. You will check into a luxury riad carved into the canyon for a relaxing, well-deserved evening and dinner.

Dades Valley → Ait Ben Haddou → Marrakech
Our final leg begins with a drive through the Valley of the Roses toward Ouarzazate. We will stop to explore the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a stunning 16th-century fortified clay city and UNESCO World Heritage site known as a filming location for *Gladiator*. Following this, we begin our dramatic ascent over the High Atlas Mountains via the winding Tizi n'Tichka pass. We will arrive in the vibrant "Red City" of Marrakech in the late afternoon, dropping you off at your riad to conclude this epic traverse.
