You will visit authentic Nomad families living in woven tents, listen to the hypnotic rhythms of Gnawa musicians in Khamlia village, and casually ride your camel into the sunset without a rush in the world. Your Journey
Fes → Ifrane → Ziz Valley → Merzouga
Your private driver will meet you at your Fes accommodation in the morning. We head south into the Middle Atlas Mountains, making our first stop in Ifrane, known for its alpine architecture. We continue into the fragrant Cedar Forests near Azrou to see the native Barbary macaque monkeys.
After a relaxed lunch in Midelt, the scenery transitions from green mountains to the spectacular, arid pre-Sahara. We drive through the Ziz Valley, taking in panoramic views of the massive palm oasis. By late afternoon, we arrive at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, where you will check into a luxury desert lodge to relax, swim, and enjoy dinner with views of the sand.

Merzouga: 4x4 Sahara Exploration & Luxury Camp
Today is dedicated entirely to the magic of the Sahara. After a leisurely breakfast, we take our 4x4 off-road to explore the desert's hidden gems. We will visit a nomadic family living in a traditional goat-hair tent, sharing a cup of mint tea and learning about their enduring way of life. We'll also visit the village of Khamlia, famous for its descendants of sub-Saharan slaves who perform mesmerizing, spiritual Gnawa music.
In the late afternoon, your private camel caravan awaits. Ride across the towering golden dunes as the sun sets, casting brilliant shadows across the sand. Arrive at our exclusive luxury desert camp for an unforgettable evening of Berber drumming, a traditional Moroccan feast, and a night beneath a canopy of stars.

Wake up early to catch the profound beauty of a Saharan sunrise over the dunes. After a hot breakfast at the camp, you will return to the edge of the desert by camel or 4x4. We begin our scenic return journey to Fes, taking time to stop at the lively, traditional market town of Rissani if it is a souk day.
We trace our path back through the Ziz Valley and over the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping for a comfortable lunch along the way. Your driver will safely drop you off at your riad or hotel in Fes by the early evening, concluding an incredible 3-day desert immersion.
